Paul Walker documentary announced by director of I Am Heath Ledger… five years after actor’s tragic death

A forthcoming documentary about the life and death of Paul Walker was announced on Tuesday.

The ‘comprehensive’ film will premiere on Paramount Network and is being helmed by I Am Heath Ledger director Adrian Buitenhuis, according to Deadline.

I Am Paul Walker will include interviews with Walker’s cast mates and friends who mourn his death at the age of 40 from a tragic car accident in 2013.

The documentary will explore his film career and shine a light on ‘the actor’s passion for the world’s oceans and marine life and his work to help rebuild Haiti after the devastating earthquake.’

The film is being produced by Derik Murray from Network Entertainment who previously made films on John F. Kennedy Jr,, Muhammad Ali, and Bruce Lee.

Walker was on a break from filming the seventh film in the Fast & Furious franchise when he was killed.

He was riding in a Porsche with friend and business associate Roger Rodas when the car spun out of control, struck three trees and burst into flames on a street in Santa Clarita, California.

Rodas died in the accident as well.

Walker left behind his only child, daughter Meadow, 16.

She had lived with him for two years before his death and became the sole beneficiary to his fortune.

Meadow now lives with mother Rebecca Soteros.
